Anyone else worried we might see 4-5-1 tomorrow?

I know at home we haven't seen it truly yet, but I think Saturday has shaken my trust in Malky slightly. Against a Watford side that at the moment are struggling but do have a lot of attacking creativity, I have this massive sense of worry Malky is going to decide to approach it defensively. I really really hope I'm just being silly.

Please God NO!
Yes I am worried too.
Although I am sure Malky would argue that the 4-5-1 can be an offensive formation too..
Not much evidence of it working for us so far though - as soon as we return to 442 we seem to play much better.

I wouldn't have thought we'd play 451 at home. It seems to be very much an away formation, at least so far.
I'd be pretty confident that it'll be 442 tomorrow.

If it's not I will write a strongly worded letter to the South Wales Echo

Are you sure? Using words might confuse them.
Suggest you send a giant steaming turd with a small flag bearing City's formation on it, so they understand.

Unless Bellamy is fit, I think Rudy Getshurt will start up front with Heidar tomorrow. I predict:
Marshall
Taylor,Connolly,Hudson,McNaughton
Noone,Whitts,Gunns,Smith
Rudy,Heidar

What, no Filip Kiss?!
I would be shocked if we went 4-5-1 at home. Of course if we do and win then I won't be complaining that much but it seems to be more the default away formation at the minute

I don't mind 4-5-1 with Bellamy and Noone because then it becomes a mutable formation. Bellamy can stick to the flanks or join the lone forward. Noone can join a front three or play as a winger in a straight four. It's playing 4-5-1 without any pace in the side that frustrates.

Prett much my summing up of how it could work in another post. While I agree, my worry is if this emerges and it does very well, Malky's obvious fondness of it will mean it emerges EVERY SINGLE WEEK, even when Noone and Bellamy don't play. We need some inspiring 4-4-2.Kamuza wrote:I don't mind 4-5-1 with Bellamy and Noone because then it becomes a mutable formation. Bellamy can stick to the flanks or join the lone forward.
