The chief exec is in no doubt that Jewell is the right man to turn things round there, and he "will be our manager for the game on Saturday at Barnsley, no question".
Seems a bit odd - no doubts, but only for one game? Are they following Blackburn's example of ruling by fear?

Paul Jewel lost his touch as a manager a long time ago. The chop is just a matter of time.

I still think Redknapp can do a job in the premiership, I'd be surprised to see him drop to middle of the championship level so quickly. Personally I reckon he's waiting to see what premiership managers get the axe, Brendan Rodgers might well go if the board are impatient afterall. Though at the very lowest I reckon he'd wait and see if Steve Kean ends up leaving Blackburn and then try stepping in there, with them he could face an immediate premiership return.

I can't decide whether I want Ipswich to tonk Barnsley, saving Jewell's job for a bit longer, keeping them out of the promotion chase, or as they always beat us anyway, they just as well be good and beat the other top teams.
