Opposition Championship Players You Admire

Let's take off our CCFC specs for a moment and ask ourselves which players we appreciate from other sides in our league... I'll start..

Lewis McGugan - I think he is inconsistent but when he scores a goal, by heck does he score one! A great shot on the lad!

Kevin Davies - a dying breed of centre forward, still banging them in at 34!

Thomas Ince - clearly a player with huge potential, exciting to watch and better than M. Phillips.

David Dunn - a very talented player who could have gone onto great things if it wasn't for injuries.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake - scores goals for fun at this level, quality striker.

Jordan Rhodes,massive missed opportunity by us especially now he's still making a claim on finest striker in the league even after promotion.

And well, I know Nathan Redmond personally as we went to school together, a fine player who made running rings around me look far, far too easy.

Kevin Phillips - HOW is he still scoring?

That bastard makes me feel older than him.

Luciano Becchio - quality player. Only so long before he gets fed up of playing for Leeds.

I fancy we could nick him if we get promoted this year (and leeds don't obviously)

I've always rated Becchio highly an absolute nuisance to play against would love to see him at the CCS. Wilfred Zaha, I'm amazed they managed to hang onto him this summer, a bit inconsistent but unplayable when on his game.

3 more who would greatly improve us right now

Scott Dann. CB
Jack Hunt/Justin Hoyte. RB

Snodgrass would have topped the list last season!

Jack Hunt – Huddersfield right-back (unfortunate name though!)
Ruben Rochina – Blackburn midfielder
Charlie Austin – Burnley striker
Mark Davies – Bolton midfielder
Paul Taylor – Ipswich striker

thinly veiled 'im gay and want to tell you which opposition players I want to bum the most' post IMO.

Not all Championship players but I admire the older players that still have it like Kevin Davies, Jason Roberts, Kevin Philips. Also some that I don't like but would love in my team, like Snodgrass and Nolan.

Bothroyd - Must be the only player in the devison that can p*ss his own fans off when he wins a free kick.I would want him for the entertainment value on match days.

& I Admire Bothroyd because he knows he cant dive for sh*t but does it anyway
