Nothing wrong with that. It's up to the referee to stop the play. I always urge our players to carry on if the referee hasn't stopped the play.

We had Mutch fake an injury to buy us time, how do you expect them to know Bellamy wasn't doing the same? Every team fakes an injury or has a player deliberately stay down to waste time now and then, you can't blame the other team for not wanting to fall for it.

True, but I do feel that was more due to his card and a tactics change since he didn't seem that hurt.
