First topic message reminder :
Since the very first day this board was set up it has been poised on a knife-edge as to whether a new Cardiff City board could survive or not. In the early days we appealed for people to register on various messageboards, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, the Google Plus page, friends and family and wherever else we could find people that just wanted to get behind the team without the needless abuse or snide remarks.
We put together an attractive, fun and welcoming place to chat with video, images and giveaways and we posted like crazy to make sure that the threads ticked over with comments whilst still trying to get more and more people to join.
From pretty early on we could see that we were getting a great bunch of posters on here, intelligent, funny, respectful of each other and often helpful - it's been a pleasure to have this new place to call my new online home thanks to the terrific people who post here.
Rhys started the board in the depths of an unusually frenetic close season and the board has had it's worryingly quiet moments, and we've often quietly repeated to ourselves the mantra "keep the board going till the season starts" where we believed that the board would really come into it's own.
Well the new season is upon us now and I believe we are now over that hump. I think this board's toughest time is now behind it and we've got some great times to look forward to on here in future.
Thanks to the great posters that make this place so funny and cool, thanks to the other Mods for keeping the place tidy and thanks to Rhys for setting up the board and bringing me in on day one. I for one am looking forward to the new season and the first season of the Redbluebirds!

What astonishes me is the level of abuse between posters over there, not just on the rebranding issue but on ordinary topics as well. This board has been a breath of fresh air, a fun place to be, nay a throwback to a golden age of messageboarding, when posters stood for integrity, humour and a feeling of mutual respect. Much applause and appreciation is due to our mods for making this haven possible. It brings a tear to one's eye.
This to the power of 4 (at least)

Thank you for the numerous complimentary comments which have been directed at me on this thread in a thinly veiled manner (other than the wanker comment obviously).
Keep up the good work everyone.

A dear John letter perhaps?
I'm not sure what happened.
I think we should start a campaign to get him back.

He's been posting a bit on ccmb, and predictably receiving unwarranted abuse - I thought you'd sent him on a covert mission, Rhys.....

As a regular member of Redbluebirds, I feel a little bit sad everytime I read a CCMB post with his name on.
I'm hoping this might guilt trip him back.

Dual nationality is always possible, of course. Maybe we're just too nice to him?

I think he's a monogamous poster and would rather a clean break than cheat on RBMB.... but what about the kids the selfish tw*t
