First topic message reminder :

Must say having moved over from the other MB loving the positive interaction, wit and banter on this one, well done Rhys.

So, not wanting to cause too many arguments but - Who was your favourite player you've watched at City?

Probably a bit nostalgic this but I'd have to go for Carl Dale (c 91-98) .... any advance on Dale?

At his best, I used to love watching Chops - really cunning and deadly when he was on a hot streak. Scott Young and Andy Legg come a close joint second for PASHUN alone.

Ronnie Bird was the entertainment. Always made you laugh and occasionaly put in the odd goal. Favourite City Player (must have seen play at least once) - Page 2 692773407
I used to be impressed with Murray until Harris turned up and showed us how a 1st division defender defended Favourite City Player (must have seen play at least once) - Page 2 1525230823

Ivor Allchurch. A genius. Getting on when he came to us but still brilliant.

Legg, great shout, I remember him and Bowen getting booed by a section of Cardiff fans in their debut (might've been the same game, I forget). Much had changed in no time at all, there was a period for 2 years or so when it seemed Legg got MOTM every week.

I think Gabbidon shades it for me. Kevin Bartlett was an early favourite, Dale was brilliant, Nathan almost goes without saying as does Earnie and I quite liked Willie Boland but Gabbidon was just so cool and composed. When we'd be stuck behind the goal at away grounds you could really see how well he read the game and just glided across the back, left to right, right to left, whereever the ball was about to be. Injuries ruined what should have been a top career.

Pretty good assessment of the three. Brian Harris was a great foil to Don (you will not get the better of me) Murray. Harris was getting on when he came to Cardiff, but absolutely oozed class. It was unfortunate that the belonged to the same era as Bobby Moore, otherwise he may well have played for England. If I remember correctly, his nickname was The Fox, as he read the game so well.......I'm sure someone will tell me if I have goit that bit wrong Favourite City Player (must have seen play at least once) - Page 2 692773407

From a slightly later era, the partnership of Tony Evans and Adrian Alston.....

I only saw them play once, as I was away at college by then, but it was "that game" against Hereford 1975/76 season! I travelled home specially for it.........

.......s'pose that makes me a plastic....nah! just a very poor student at the time Sad
