"Liverpool are willing to pay off Bellamy, 33, with one year left on his deal, worth £80,000 a week. He scored six goals in 27 league appearances at Anfield last season and is playing for Great Britain at the Olympic Games."

Kyung and Bellamy on the wings with Kadeem Harris and Conway to cover is the stuff of dreams. Couple that with a midfield triangle of Whitts, Mutch and Gunnarrson (with Kiss, Ralls,Cowie and countless others to cover) and well, I fully believe there isn't a better midfield anywhere in the championship.

True, but I think still a question about someone up front who can stick away chances. Mason is quality, but a lot to ask for a whole season. I am hoping that Earnie is able to make a greater contribution this year..........a goal last night was a good start and hopefully a confidence builder.............and we mustn't forget Velikonja

True, even with a new potentially star striker our attack is still my biggest concern. I'm optimistic, what with Arsenal having their eyes on Mason, Etien being tipped for big things and Earnie looking infinitely more dangerous these last two games, but i still won't be 100% happy till they start rolling goals in regularly. Saying that, I don't feel we need another striker anymore. Our midfield is so strong this year we might as well keep it five strong and play a lone striker with a large amount of support. And if we only play one at a time, three is plenty.

Potentially great news. Love Bellers. What I find amazing about him is that he is 33 and with all the knee troubles he has had, hasn't appeared to have lost and of his pace either.
