Had cause to visit Bradford City's forum the other day and I was struck by its simple, warm and welcoming design.

There's no frills, it's warm and inviting, grey text on a dark background, easy on the eyes.
No advertising (that I could see anyway) and the forum page resizes gracefully depending on what device it is being viewed on.
No sidebars, no distractions; all content was inside threads and it all adds up to a pleasurable forum experience.
My only gripe is that there is too much space from the top of the forum to the list of current threads but that would be easily resolved with a new, smaller logo and some rejigging of the navigation and search bars.
