The foreign bank account thing is probably because I was already considering using a VPN to shift my IP address to Europe and get it that way...

Not all ex pats have bank accounts outside the UK, so I don't know how iFollow deals with them.

Have just looked at setting up a second (dummy) 130€ video account. UK address and card (Visa, Mastercard & Amex) payment options still there. No mention of foreign bank account.
