According to the Daily Star. Not sure how trustworthy this source is but here's the link.

My only thought is 'better the devil you know'. If a local consortium wanted to buy the club, keep the setup as it is and keep the club sustainable then fine. If however the club was bought by a businessman from, say, China, I would be more worried. Not that I wish to cast aspersions about Chinese businessmen but when you look at the guy that bought Villa, they are racking up massive debt and a huge wage bill but still play in the championship.

Every organisation, just like the players in our first team squad, has a price. Nothing unusual about putting out a daft proposition and if some one bites, see where it goes. With the prospect of improving fortunes on and off the pitch, I'd say this was the perfect time to put a toe in the water.
Tan has always said that he would leave City in good hands.

Club quick off the mark to put this into perspective.

Yes not sure the official denial is as strong as the WO headline suggests though

Fair enough if he is, as this has always been on his agenda at some point. That's not likely to change unless we prove to be ridiculously successful on the pitch over the coming two seasons and let's face it, this is Cardiff City so that's not going to happen
I do echo Slimfrog though, as despite questionable decisions along the way, Tan appears to have learned how to conduct himself and his business around the football club now. He's learned his limits, when to intervene and not and there is a blossoming relationship with Warnock who looks the part too. Any new owner would start to make me feel a bit edgy and it would be typically Cardiff City if we after finally achieving some stability and regaining the trust and optimism of the fans if it were to be suddenly torpedoed by a douchebag takeover.
But, this is all ifs and maybes right now. I'll worry about it if it happens.

The Star made up the original story, WO online made up the response (allegedly)

Breaking news..............Scam Hammam and his sidekick from the dark side are putting together a bid of £30 million to take over the Club...
There will be a colour change to GREEN a la mooted by Hammam after his takeover of the Club in c 2001/2. His partner thinks it’s a great move and will increase the Irish fan base.
So be prepared as Baden Powell once said.

^^
Tan quite clearly wants to sell the club, but nobody in their right mind would pay the £100m or so he's after.
