One of my all time Cardiff City heroes. We had the great pleasure to live for some years in the same place from which Don Murray hails. A farmer friend of mine there once told me that he had boxed "young Donald's" ears for scrumping his apples.
......also some flair points for whoever can give me the connection to the Royal Family......

Don was born in a place called Duffus.
In the year 961, Duffus became King of Scotland on the death of his father King Malcolm of the Scots.

The answer's not that exciting, but I did think Arkay might solve it, given his employment history ..... that doesn't help a lot, does it?

Not sure my Monkey Pimping gives me much knowledge of anything other than the night time habits of our hairy ancestors

Monkey pimping is probably closer, although nearby Lossiemouth was originally proposed as the preferred base for Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic space tourism project, which still might happen.
In the meantime, here is a picture of Duffus Castle, which has nothing to do with the answer, other than being very close to it and also near where Don Murray was born.
