Cardiff Close In On Striker

Cardiff City believe they are close to landing one of their man summer targets – with the Bluebirds hopeful of unveiling a new striker by next week.

Cardiff have wasted little time in their recruitment plans after landing Callum Paterson on a Bosman from Hearts and deals for Neil Etheridge and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, plus most recent capture goalkeeper Lee Camp.

And, as well as new deals for Junior Hoilett, Kenneth Zohore, Lee Peltier and Kadeem Harris, the club are confident of securing an agreement with star centre-back Bruno Manga about staying in South Wales.

But now – following successful meetings between Neil Warnock, owner Vincent Tan, chief executive Ken Choo and chairman Mehmet Dalman in London – the Bluebirds are pressing ahead with plans for one of Warnock's main aims.

The manager wants to add striking support for Kenneth Zohore and a new forward would be the Bluebirds' fifth summer signing following the addition of ex-Rotherham shot-stopper Camp.

So it's obvious that it's Danny ward or could it be a marquee signing?
