Will he play or won't he? Looks like Marshall is finally on his way to where he deserves to be, even if he didn't want to go.
I fear for the atmosphere at CCS today, as the mood of the fans is pretty ugly once more. However, my feeling is that Trollope is getting together a squad of Championship players in much the way that Malky Mackay did, so let's hope that he can get them to respond as a team in the same way. At least we are not trawling the lower reaches of the division and League 1 for cast-offs and that has to be a step in the right direction.
Looks like this is going to be season of consolidation. I can't see us being worried by relegation, but recent events have caused me to round down my expectations somewhat.
Reading, on the other hand, appear to be in the ascendancy, with a high profile manager and a bucketful of new players.
Given his early season form and what he does for Iceland, Gunnarsson has got to be the new captain if Marshall goes.
This could be one of those days where City rise to the occasion, particularly if the ice warrior is leading them into battle.
4 - 0 City

Nice piece, Gloves. Certainly wouldn't disagree with what you say.........apart from your match prediction.

Consolidation in the bottom half of the table. I fear for the Club at present, and not because of the Marshall situation, but because of the wasted money over the past 4 years. Tan I believe is consolidating his losses and will be looking to offload the Club in the not too distant future.
Optimist says 1-2, but realist thinks it'll be a heavier defeat.

No Marshall, definitely played his last game for us.....
No Zohore, but Le Fondre on bench.
Wilson, Peltier, Morrison, Connolly, Richards, Harris, Whittingham, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Immers, Pilkington
Subs: Amos, Manga, Ajayi, Huws, Noone, Gounonge, Le Fondre.

Perhaps including Le Fondre indicates they think they may not be able to get rid of him so they may as well get some value out of him.

Well that came as a shock, I don't think.
Now paying the price because Tan put his trust in people who ripped him off and others not up to the job. Looks like a long hard season ahead. Probably closer to relegation than a top half finish.
Very sad.

Ah, well....can't get them right every time, but to be honest, I can't see City beating anyone 4 - 0 this season.....
