the bluebirds v the trotters. A club with a glorious past, founded in 1874 and founder members of the Football League. They have spent more time in the top flight, 73 years without ever winning the title than any other club. Their golden era was the 1950's, spearheaded by the legendary Nat Lofthouse and they will be remembered as the other team in the famous Matthew's final. Less remembered will be the loss of 33 fans, crushed to death at Burnden Park
Back home after a trip up the M whatever, but before we depart Reading after tea and biscuits Conor Mcaleny, what a strike! Also Slade's reaction
TEAM NEWS
Cardiff defender Ben Turner could make his first appearance for Russell Slade's side since January after a long battle with an ankle injury.
Strikers Federico Macheda and Alex Revell (both back) will be assessed after missing the draw with Reading.
Bolton will be without on-loan forward Adam Le Fondre, who is ineligible to play against parent club Cardiff.
Max Clayton (knee) and David Wheater (hamstring) will not play again this season.

Is it possible to suffer from a chocolate hangover?
If so, then I think I have one.........or it could be the bottle of rouge and several large single malts yesterday evening.......
Anyway, match day again amongst real optimism now that City have turned the corner and are on the verge of something great.........
With the rumours hitting the press about Bruno Ribeiro, the pressure, real or otherwise is on Russell Slade. Hopefully, he can set his side up to beat a Bolton side, who have been almost as inconsistent as City this year.
Can see City keeping a clean sheet against Bolton without Le Fondre and would love to see Mason get into the game.

0 - 0 HT. Sounds like a reasonable performance so far.
A win today would probably put City up to 11th - Sheff Wed 0 - 2 at Norwich, Charlton playing tomorrow.

i was one of those that got up and walked out when the 3rd goal went in
I was keeping up to date with the game via twitter for the first half but then ended up at a friends so didn't find out the final score until much later. Sounds like a disastrous second half and a really poor result.
From the people who were there - was it really as bad as the scoreline suggests?

no it was not really, it was just that they broke out and our players were caught out of position. that happened three times. fortunately for them they did not have a peter whittingham in their side to pass the ball back to the goalie
