Just saw on SkySports that Earnshaw is in talks over his future despite four weeks ago Malky saying he had a future here and was in his plans. Possibly going?

He needs to move on.
We need him off the wage bill to contribute his wages to a big signing of a striker.
He was a brilliant servant to this club first time around and I admire his passion for wanting to come back and try again but it hasn't worked out, time to move on.

On his way out?
In talks with Malky apparently.

This has been merged into one thread.
I reckon - one more season on reduced terms. I don't think he's been given a fair run. If you look at his goal return per game(if you remove the games when he came on for 5 mins at the end). He was still impressive imo

I think he was a signing for the fans to smooth the transition into Malky's tenure IMO but not given a fair chance but I guess not really in Earnie's best interest now to keep him on as he'll probably never get a decent run of games

He was special because of his pace, which sadly is no longer there. He'll still shoot at the merest hint of a whisper that there may be a rumour of an opening (which ain't a bad thing), but I don't think he's developed other skills to compensate for his loss of pace.

There's no way Earnie is going to accept reduced terms though is there? I know I wouldn't!
It's time for him to move on and that salary would be a large chunk of Bellamys salary. A good romantic idea to bring back Earnshaw but he's a luxury player who for me just doesn't offer enough.
The MLS beckons I think/hope

Depending on his wages, he might be worth keeping but might be better for him to move on!!

To be honest I don't think Earnie is a top half Championship player any more.
Now his pace has gone he's not known for his footballing brain, decent enough finish but wastes too many chances and is fairly selfish.
Thought he was great the first time round but always thought it was a gamble to bring him back.
Absolutely wish him the best of luck if he goes somewhere else and will probably keep up with how he is playing but think we are moving on and Earnie doesn't really feel like a MM type of player.
