On loan with option to buy. Seems a reasonable move if they pay a loan fee and cover the wages. That way we might get him back if promoted at the end of the season. Otherwise, can't see anyone paying £11m at the moment.

I think the loan tactic was established by QPR as a pretty brilliant way of keeping hold of your star players despite a relegation. Keep them happy by allowing them top level football elsewhere and then focus on immediate promotion. Even if it doesn't happen, you can make a nice profit next year with the sell option. Loic Remy and and Adel Taarabt massively impressed during their loan spells at Newcastle and Milan, meaning they will be key players next season of they do stay at QPR or have at least worked towards doubling their transfer fees. It's really a win win.
I'd be happier if we kept them, but you can count me pretty darn satisfied if we sent Medel, Caulker and Mutch out on loan to premiership sides instead of just selling them.

Unless we get a good enough replacement i would be quite pessimistic of our season if we lost Mutch too. We have numbers in central midfield but unless Whittingham rediscovers his form of a few seasons ago then i am not sure we have anyone capable of providing that creative spark in the center.

Unless he has a bad season at Inter, that is. If that's the case we've essentially missed out on £11m!

I may be biased, but his World Cup form has worked wonders in restoring my faith in him. He's better than Inter, I reckon.

Looking even more likely this evening. Seems to have been uncertainty on an option to buy after a year. If we are giving Inter an option to buy in 12 months, then we really ought to be getting rid now. If he was contracted to come back if we get promoted, then that would be a different matter.
