Media reports today are about Cardiff's attempt to convince Fraizer to stay.

I was thinking to myself,  I'd really rather not us spend any more money on his wages trying to keep him at the club.

Also,  I'm not really sure who in the pl would want him?  Campbell wasn't exactly great at taking his chances, as few as they were.

Yes. Hard worker who has actually been denied any decent regular service over the last two seasons. In the right setup, he could easily bag us 15-20 goals a season.

Just look how Rudy and Mason have prospered in teams that play to their strengths.

Yes, him staying is the very best scenario. I published stats in another thread that actually pointed out he was one of the highest performing strikers in the bottom quarter of the league, converting a decent amount considering his uniform lack of service all season long.

I think it's easy to forget that Suarez or Messi would fail to score if they never get the ball in productive scenarios.

And are forced to defend 90 minutes or constantly have to drop deep to get a sight of the ball.

Exactly. Now we are in a league where we will enter most our matches as the favourites, let's see what he can do. He scored seven goals in 12 appearances for us in the last half of the title winning campaign. If he could keep up that rate over a whole season he's surpassing the 20 goal target of a quality striker.

He's a good player, no doubt. But I'm a little put off by the rumours about him being unsure about coming here, wanting a release clause etc. If he's not 100% sure he wants to be here, we should let him go.

I think it is fair for any player to have one eye on furthering his career and playing at a higher level if the oppertunity arises. His attitute and workrate has always been spot on when on the pitch and i do think he will be a 15-20 goal striker over the course of the season if played regularly.

Unless we only want one striker at the club who will score 30 to 40 goals a season and never get injured or lose form then i would definitely want Campbell to stay.

I'd prefer Campbell over Grabban, but if Campbell was to leave he seems like a decent enough replacement.

At times Campbell was the only player on the pitch who seemed to show an interest in playing. I'd like him to stay
