Oh wow. A £17 mill fine for the richest club in the world and a capping the squad to only 21 world class players.

Well done UEFA, that showed them.

21 players will be tough for a team with a squad that size, although tougher for us

Yeah, it's only for the champions league and it only really means they have 4 less players than anyone else. Very few champions league sides use their full 25 squad anyway, they are only there for injury backup.

It's also worth mentioning the sheiks that own man city would earn the fine in interest within a week. So again,it's like fining you or me about ten quid.

In fairness, I think this is just a warning. If they don't abide by the rules within the next couple of years, they'll be banned from Europe.

Have they even established how such a thing would happen? Does that mean the team in 5th place gets a champions league spot? It's all going to get hopelessly confusing if Man City get banned from the champions league, but another British team win the Europa league, etc etc...
