Tim Sherwood in a typically reserved manner claimed all credit for signing Christian Eriksen after he put in a great shift during their defeat of Fulham. His words were as follows -

'I watched him at 17 years of age at Wembley for Denmark and I rang Daniel Levy the day after and said that he needed to sign this boy. Ten million pounds later he is finally here, so that's all good news'

Sounds fair enough right? No reason to believe he's lying right?

Christian Eriksen, speaking in March (only a month before) -
'I have never played at Wembley'

Unlikely that an U-17 or U-18 match would have been played at Wembley. Probably just a case that Sherwood forgot the venue.

I think some junior internationals are played at St Georges Park.
