Twitter rumours are rife that Sherwood punched Dawson in the face, post match in the dressing room.

Shame, it all started so well for Sherwood.........

oh dear - if true he is facing a ban from management surely?

Someone raised something very interesting from the post match conferences. Listen to Brendan Rodgers and regardless of the match result, he refers to the team as 'us'. Sherwood on the other hand when faced with a bad result uses 'me' and 'them'.

It can be summarised by Rodgers that they are all in it together. Sherwood can be summarised as 'when it goes wrong it's the players fault, not mine'. Not surprised the players are turning on him.

Louis van Gaal has already agreed to take over at the end of the World Cup, and Sherwood knows it

Aaron Lennon confirmed on Twitter last night that this was an unfounded rumour. Funny how everyone - including myself - were so readily willing to believe that Sherwood as capable of this
