My first game - Asteroid Space Matador

Hey everyone,  I've been working on creating a game over the last couple of week and wondered if anyone fancied giving it a go. Feel free to share your feedback below! 


The game is a simple 80's space retro game that is designed to be easy to learn (literally one button control - the spacebar), quick to play (30 secs a game) - but also very hard to win. I haven't even come close.  

Basically you are flying a ship over a gas giant and through an asteroid field when suddenly your engines cut out and only your upward thrusters appear to be working. Now locked in a life fight against gravity and the asteroid field itself, you have to try and skilfully fly your way through safely to the other side of the asteroid field. To win the game you have to fly passed 100 asteroids.

Lol - I should have mentioned that but was typing the message up quickly between driving lessons.

Yes its admittedly and blantently 'inspired' by flappy bird no question. Though I see flappy bird more of a genre than individual game now. In the same way fps are similar but different.

Arrrrgggh! I'm so crap at games like this. Nicely done though!

Pretty sure I heard that soundtrack at a few "raves" in the 90s Rhys. 

Also, is Preadventure Games your trademark?

Might want to think about changing that start up picture - can't help but thinking it looks like a spiders web over an extra large vagina. Reminds me of Lenwick's Nan

Ew gross. I was going for mysterious rather than old ladies genitalia - let me rethink.

Also peradventure is a name im thinking about using but probably won't need too as it's not likely that I'll sell anything - not good enough frankly. But everyone starts somewhere I guess.

Also the tune I'm using under a cc license - it's more 90's than 80's? :depressing: ah well doesn't really matter I guess!
