Title says it all really, the FA's board voted unanimously to deny Allems request to change the name of the club, and the fans protesting the change are delighted. A well earned victory for the fans, or a slap in the face for the owner?

In this case, I'm on the fans' side as opposed to my other post about Saturday's march.
A name change is beyond the pale.

Agreed. I think the decision was needed in particular because of Allems attitude to the whole debacle. In between telling fans to die and threatening to raise ticket prices if he doesn't get his way, he's made Tan look like a saint. You can't treat your fans the way he has, it's that simple and good on the FA standing up for them.
The FA surely had no choice as setting this type of precedent would open up the floodgates for some very major cosmetic changes to British football
Hopefully this will give Tan second thoughts...if indeed he had any thoughts about it in the first place.

Hull City, or rather Allem, has now accused the FA of prejudice and will ballot season ticket holders to prove their plan was backed all along. That could be interesting, hopefully Allem doesn't take any advice from Vladimir Putin on how to conduct polls...
