Having researched him, in Spain he is fairly well rated. The consensus of opinion appears to be that he has a lot of potential, is quite strong, good in the air and is very comfortable on the ball, to the extent he can play in front of the back four. He's more happy playing the ball out from the back, making him a much better option for our style of play than Turner or Huds. I can see him quickly becoming Caulker's centre back partner and I think he's a good signing. He was being chased by Newcastle and the mighty Getafe

Yeah as mentioned above, he likes to play it out from the back which will be a nice little asset for Gary Medel. He does come with a bad discipline record however, saying that, so did Medel.
