Good news provided they have both learned a lesson from this. Two massive home games coming up. We need really great performances to lift everyone ready for the hard slog ahead in 2014.........

Lots of cynicism on the other boards that this is a ploy just to get past the televised game.......

Credit to the club for responding quickly - bit you can't help thinking the press forced Tans hand here. It's what happens when everything comes off the boil that'll be interesting.

If anyone on this board hasn't yet read the statement I would suggest a visit to www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk to see the statement as posted by the club. Quite a bit to take in.

Yeah, there's genuinely not a bad word that can be said for him. Seems to genuinely have the club at heart.

Rob Phillips on radio this afternoon said he didn't think that the fan protests would have had any effect on Tan but that he would have listened to Dalman.

A problem is that 'return to blue' is something that seems to motivate younger supporters more than most long standing ones. I've been watching for over 50 years along with loads of mates of similar age and not one of us cares less about the colour of the shirt we play in. For much of our last promotion to the top division in 1960 we played our home games in white because the players considered it lucky. Similarly, the bluebird didn't start to become prominent until the 60's. For loads of older supporters they're 'The City' in conversation rather then the Bluebirds.. As for the club's history and tradition, it's still there and can't be changed whatever happens.
What's more important is that the Club/Tan shows more respect to supporters before making radical changes to the way the club is run.
For those interested our shirt history is:- http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Cardiff_City/Cardiff_City.htm

In case you think I would accept anything, a name change would be beyond the pale. The way Tan has behaved in the last week has also been completely unacceptable and, despite the fact that I'm not Malky's biggest fan, I think he has been treated appallingly.

Very well put
I have to be honest - the kit from a purely aesthetic perspective doesn't matter to me either - it's more the disrespect changing it showed in the first place.

It's a fair point, but out of the 10 people I know who have completely stopped supporting the club, they are all aged over 40.
