Tonight -
Crystal Palace (7 points) v West Ham (13 points)......a Palace win would be the better outcome for us, as anything other than a loss at Stoke would put us above West Ham. However, do we really want Palace to put together back to back wins and get on a roll? They've got a good man in Pullis.
Tomorrow -
Fulham (10 points) v Spurs.........Fulham's goal difference is 4 worse than ours, so hopefully Spurs can do us a favour and widen that a bit further. However, a Fulham win and a City loss at Stoke and we are staring into the trap door, if not dropping through it.
Sunderland (8 points) v Chelsea......could really do with Chelsea stuffing Poyet's lot to cement them in the basement with an even worse goal difference.
Liverpool v Norwich (14 points).........surely Liverpool can't slip up against Norwich, whose goal difference is worse than ours. A Liverpool win and at least a draw for us at Stoke would put us above Norwich.
Also worth mentioning Swansea (15 points) v Newcastle and West Brom (15 points) v Man City.
If all of these results went our way and we managed a win at Stoke, then we would find ourselves up in 12th place.......

It is indeed a great game week to win a game. All the bottom sides are playing top sides, with only ourselves, Stoke, palace and West Ham playing similar teams.
Your write up is brilliant TDA, I sat and worked out in work yesterday that if this happens -
Arsenal v Hull - Arsenal win
Liverpool v Norwich - Liverpool win
Southampton v Villa - Southampton win
Stoke v Cardiff - Cardiff win
Sunderland v Chelsea - Chelsea win
Swansea v Newcastle - Newcastle win
Fulham v Tottenham - Tottenham win
Palace v West Ham - draw
We'd be in joint 11th with Villa, behind on goal difference. 6 points away from the drop.
I'd fancy an accumulator on those results, all the results we need are probably the most likely outcome.

Ideally want Palace to lose to dent their morale or they will be a real threat on Saturday.

Bad, I want them killed off and cast adrift at the bottom with Sunderland.Rhys wrote:Palace are winning one-nil with 30 mins to go.
Perhaps two wins on the trot for them? Not sure if this is good or bad tbh

If all the results stand as they are at half time in our game, then we will be up to 15th on 14 points and 3 points clear of the bottom three.

Well, so far as our end of the table is concerned, everything went pretty much as planned. The top teams all beat the lower ones and Arsenal beating Hull also kept the Tigers within reach.
The icing on the cake would have been a City win at Stoke....
The upcoming weekend fixtures could again work in our favour, but we need to be taking more than 1 point from Palace to really take advantage of other strugglers slipping up.
