Just watched it on record. Never mind Malky, our defence is Jekyll and Hyde as well. While the midfield improved greatly in the second half, our defence was poor throughout. Medel had a surprisingly bad match, but Caulker really stood out as having the biggest mare in my opinion. He completely lost Remy for the first goal and the second he really should of closed his man down more and not forced Marshall into a difficult save. Most worryingly for me though was the counterattack from Whitt's corner in the second half. I know Caulker isn't the fastest, but I'd like to see him sprint his way back to at least try and help out. Instead what he did was slow to a jog, and that was poor form in my opinion.

Gunnarrson, I don't see why people are still so negative. He was the one that nicked the ball in the lead up to our goal, and I still feel he carries out his enforcer role well. Yes he is currently poor in the final third, but that's not what he's on the pitch for.

Mutch's passing was electric, 100% should start over Kim. Chelsea is going to be a rough game for us, so I'd keep Medel and Gunnarrson in defensive midfield. Mutch in the centre, Noone on the left, Campbell right and Odemwingie up front. Odemwingie is impressing me where I was once a critic, he looks much more confident in the final third than Campbell.

stop the press. John Hartson was a pundit on MOTD2 yesterday and he gave Jordan Mutch goal of the month 'to dispel myths about him and cardiff'. He got properely ripped into for it though from Alan Hansen who said the goal would have been lucky to be in the top 6 goals of the month.

Good on John - spend the whole time talking up the welsh players motd thread 692773407 Anyone else watch it?

To be fair, januzaj's goal for United was better, brilliant volley right into the bottom corner with extraordinary reactions. Mutch struck it with his left foot and was slightly off balance , can't help thinking massive amounts of luck were involved. motd thread 692773407

Cheers Dave, I hope Malky is paying attention to the fact everyone always likes my tactical setups if he's ever in the market for a new assistant motd thread 692773407
