Just doing some last-minute pre-match, plum picking in the garden and had the terrible premonition of City losing to a late penalty, when one of our heroic defenders was lured into a rash challenge by one of Man City's serial divers.........nearly fell off my ladder........

Connolly needs a hat-trick

Connolly at right back AGAIN. Malky has seriously ticked me off before the game has started. Play Brayford, play McNaughton, play Gunnarrson, play Maynard at right back for god sake, just NOT Connolly.

If he's responsible for us losing this game like he was last week, Malky is in seriously hot water in my eyes.

Just to summarise my problems for reference -

- Connolly. Seriously.
- Bellamy should not be getting the nod over Noone, or even Conway
- The player of the season, Hudson, yet again sits the bench over the hoof happy Turner
- Worse, Hudson is the only defender on the bench. If Connolly or Taylor have bad games, then that's pretty much that - we don't have anyone else ready.

Regular five minute short of half time analysis before te mobile signal collapses.

Malky continues to be an enigma. Hopeless one match, brilliant the next (tactics, not player selection). We're defending deep and nullifying Man City, and when we earn the ball back we're proving both capable of counter attacking quickly using Campbell's speed and being patient and waiting for space to appear.

Man City look weak, if I'm honest. Taylor has been immense on the left wing and has made Navas look pub team quality, and Connolly has had very very little chance to show his ineptness.

Whitts is second best behind Taylor, he looks like a new player and is truly threatening.

Campbell has a brilliant work rate, but he looks too lonely up front, needs support.

Absolutely fantastic performance by the team today. Of course there is still plenty to work on and the team still needs strengthening but that has to bring encouragement to all City fans who saw that!
