Cardiff City Player

Does anybody else have the city player?
I paid decent wonga to renew this for a year and have noticed that all sorts of highlights and other stuff is being put on youtube by the club - frequently before it goes on player.
Don't see any point renewing if they're going to do this throughout the season   

I was going to subscribe this season but I am having second thoughts now I can see it on youtube. Can anyone convince me that its worth getting?

I think as the club is trying to expand the brand, it will put a lot of highlights etc on YouTube in order to allow neutrals and foreign audiences to see the team and become associated with it more easily.

On that basis it perhaps isn't worth the fee.

Player has a useful facility that allows full access to the Player of any other club that has Player on its website.  

I always listen to City's match day commentary on Player if there is not an online stream.  That said, I found that I used Player less and less for other things as the season went on.   The pre and post match interviews became predictable and some of the In The City features are cringeworthy.  Nevertheless, I did enjoy watching the development team highlights as well as the first team games.

I don't know how much of that will translate to YouTube, but being in exile, I will keep the Player on at least for this coming season

Are they just putting things on YouTube at the moment because it's still preseason and they're trying to promote their product, or has this been happening for a while?

For me Cc Player is invaluable! Living in Spain I can't get to many matches but can listen live to every game which is great. Well worth the money

Well worth the £30 odd a year if only to watch the highlights of all away games. Many games last season we saw recordings of full 90 mins. Some of the Press interviews were as stated, boring and repetitive, but most of that was down to the 'numpty' reporters present who probably couldn't spell original lat alone think of any original questions to ask of manager or players. I'd much rather watch highlights of City games than the constant repeats of games shown on sky.

Radio Wales for commentary, or a dodgy internet TV link of the game if available. Job done.

CC Player have just said that it's pre-season friendlies only which will be put on youtube.

ah that makes sense.
