What it says on the tin basically. Put together an article looking at a few free transfers that are still available - some more realistic than others.

It would be good to believe that a couple of those mentioned would be interested in coming to City, provided they were cost effective.  Personally, I'd like to see Benayoun or Malouda.  I don't think we would be likely to find our "missing link" striker in a free, so I reckon I good bit of the budget will have to be utilised in that direction.

Interestingly on the poll included on the bottom, Chris Baird is currently winning! (I didn't put Malouda as an option)

Yes, I noticed that, so I went for Benayoun, but Malouda would have been my first choice.

Thought Santa Cruz was a fair bit older than that. Could be a signing similar to Helguson, give him a year's contract, he looked decent at Malaga under Pellegrini and his aerial ability suits us nicely.

I'd have taken Simpson as a slight upgrade on Kev but I'll take Baird or Dunne from that list of defenders. I'd rather see Malky spend some money on a decent defender, someone like Marvin Compper, than just raid the free agent pool though.

I keep hoping we will bring in a centre-back with promise who can also do a job now, and I had thought Michael Mancienne was looking for a return to the UK
