First topic message reminder :
There are rumours on Twitter this morning that the club will be introducing a £40 membership fee for non season ticket holders.
The fee would have to be paid before any tickets can be purchased for next season. Bit steep if you can't get to too many matches.

Here's something out of left field.
Here in France my closest Ligue 1 team next season will be Nantes (appropriately twinned with Cardiff), but which is over 100 miles away. Nantes have just been promoted, so last year, Bordeaux would have been closest at 145 miles.
Where in the UK, if living in a town of 10,000 people would you ever be that far from Premier League football..........answers on a postcard........

Exeter is about 110 miles from both Southampton and Cardiff, so basically most moderate-sized towns in Devon and Cornwall, most notably Plymouth.TDA wrote:Here's something out of left field.

..............yes, well done Tonker.....you win......er, something! :cup:
Apart from that far-flung forgotten corner of England, nowhere is really very far from a Premier League team. Even though it has a similar population, France is geographically vast in comparison......and we are located reasonably centrally, but b*gger all football within an easy drive.

We'd never have anything to talk about. Forums thrive on bullshit and rumours.

Doesn't affect me but £40 is too much.
£25 tops I reckon.
Potentially another way of alienating fans.

If you fail to get a match ticket for certain games then that's to bad. But when you're talking about missing out after coughing up £40 that would be galling. Fair enough the club want the tickets only going to proper City fans, but allegedly the club have got a hundred thousand fans or more, on the database, as long as they sell to those people registered then there won't be a problem.
I agree - £15-20 seems a lot more reasonable to me.
General allocation tickets are going to nee a premium this season - 3000 - 4000 a game after st holders and away fans are taken in to consideration

Away Members used to be £20 a season (as I was one) but it does make sense that they would up the price given that it is now Premiership games were applying for and also include home game purchase.
Opted for the Gold one myself in time for the bi-annual RBMB meetup later this year...
