Cheers Arfur - would be good to see you post on here more regularly **SIGN THE PETITION HERE** 1525230823

Here's the blurb about the petition:

Cardiff City Council are planning a Parks Pitches increase for next season for the hire of a pitch and changing rooms from £38 per match, to £55.

This equates to a hyperinflation busting 44% rise!!

This will lead to a folding of a great number of clubs, who are already struggling to survive financially, thus removing a healthy, regular activity from hundreds of peoples' lives.

All this at a time when the nation is being encouraged to exercise more to reduce obesity rates, and following the hugely successful London Olympics which championed fitness and team participation.

I'd be intrigued to see the Council's explanation for such a rise. Additionally, will the extra money raised be reinvested into grass roots sport...?

Went to sign it but it says its not available?

I don't know what Cardiff is like, but the pitches available to (when they're actually on as they're frequently called off after a dog pisses on them and they water log) to the Vale are a joke. I run a junior team who, until a week before Saturday, had not played since the end of October.
