Not a bitter topic, at least not deliberately, more an observation.

I tend to park in roughly the same area of the car park every day in work. Many of the the other staff also do the same, so I come to recognise a lot of the cars around myself. This week, I've genuinely spotted at least ten examples of cars that have never displayed any sort of football memorabilia displaying Swansea bumper stickers, flags, and signs. Likewise, the Cardiff city window sign my car has displayed for years is receiving a lot more 'you've got some s**t on the back of your car' banter from people that have never, ever mentioned it before.

My defining point however comes from an overheard comment in the canteine. Just one line, but it was enough for my subconscious to start screaming 'KILL IT, KILL IT NOW' -

'Ive always supported Manchester United, but I've also started supporting Swansea since they got into the premiership'

Is this just me or the area I work in, or have others seen lots of jumping on the bandwagon?

Yes this is the unfortunate side effect to success, the sheer number of hangers on and people that don't have a clue about football. On the flip side I'm sure the same will happen to us once we get up there and find a modicum of success ourselves

What area do you work in Red, if you don't mind my asking?
As a man from Barry, I've definitely seen a greater influx of people who "support" man utd, Liverpool etc. harping on about their new-found adherence to Swansea. People who, say 5-6 years ago, couldn't even tell you which division Swansea were in.
Of course this will no doubt change when the city get up there next season.

You all know what I do for a job, and the department I work in is small. So for the sake of job security and anonymity, lets just say I work within the Newport NHS area Anyone else noticed the influx of Swansea fans recently? 692773407

Blood, occasionally urine. Poo is the exact reason I severed any connection my career has with microbiology Anyone else noticed the influx of Swansea fans recently? 692773407

I did mean area as in geographically. If you said somewhere in Port Talbot, for example, perhaps I could understand. Newport, however, is just dumb as feck.

A guy I used to know worked in the Heath looking at poo. The things he used to tell me would put you off food for days. Unless you like scat porn.

In my 2nd year of uni I had to do a practical where I had to measure the volume of my piss every 10 minutes for 2 hours. Having said that I didn't actually do the measuring. I just went in a bottle and handed it to my now flatmate to measure. Not the only time she's had my piss on her hands.

I fear this thread has gone off on a horrific tangent.
