If he bags 15 goals between now and May - then hell yes!

If not, then time will be the better judge.

we will re-coup that money when we sell him and sign a better player at the end of next summer...

The transfer fee seems quite good value to me.

I don't think £30K per week can be right. Maybe there's a bonus clause for the Premier League but it's no more than £15K I reckon.

His pedigree is very good, he just needs to keep injury-free.

Impossible to tell this early as has already been said. If he spends three years injured then obviously not. But if he scores 60 a season every season he's with us then he's a bargain.

I doubt anyone really knows what his wage is, it's just a guess.

As has been said, time will tell. Gets us to the Prem and he's done his job, but the fee seems more than reasonable to me.

Everyone in work is saying we've got him on the cheap - as already been said - time will tell.

Absolute bargain IMO.

Bit of a gamble injury wise but the boy is still young and has pedigree. £650k for a player of his ability is a steal. If he had been injury free for his whole career we would have been outbid on him IMO.

As for the £30k wage, I can't believe it's that much, maybe a clause that kicks in if we go up to go up too that much , but I'd surprised if that was his starting wage.

Anyway, Earnshaw was reportedly on £20k when we picked him up on a Bosman and the signs are he'll be off this month, so the wage bill won't increase by much, if at all.

if he helps to get us there then yes, yes and more yes

My first assumption is yes, as he has an England cap, has played at top clubs and despite a modest goal return with some of his teams he performs well. We won't know for a little while though...

Imo he is worth around 3 mil because of his age.
