First topic message reminder :

Here I am, stepping up to the plate as promised since I've been so quick to critiscise in the past. If we win, my pride takes a boost and I can retire from official threads a happy man. If we lose, I'm going to declare myself a hero for allowing us to escape a potetially league ruining cup run. If we draw, depends on the performance.

Even with a reserve team, we should surely put them to sword pretty easily right? 2-0, ill be modest.

Also, does anyone really believe Malky's newspaper words about how he 'is taking the cup seriously but the first team need a rest'? Just be out with it, he doesn't give a damn, the players don't give a damn, and we don't really give a damn either.

lmao at the Macclesfield players holding up 4th round banners, Christ. They beat the championship leader's 2nd team. Whoop de doo.

It's annoying to go out so early again and we may have to get used to this fighting to stay in the prem, but I don't really mind. Playing in two comps would just be detrimental overall and thankfully MM realises this.

I hand in my notice of resignation from all match thread duties with immediate effect. While I do in truth feel let down by Malky and his squad selection, I make no excuses for my approach to this task and actions within it. I've had a great run, and I hope to fulfil other capacities within the board for the foreseeable future.

Got to admire you for falling so graciously on your sword before we pushed you. ***OFFICIAL MATCHDAY THREAD - CARDIFF V MACCLESFIELD*** - Page 4 692773407

For my part, I shall never predict a comfortable City win again. It does us no favours...ever.

The Times player ratings for City give Harris and Velcro 5/10 and everyone else is at sixes and sevens (pun intended).

Didn't see the game myself, so couldn't comment. Anybody got any other opinions or is that about right?

Spoken like a man Red. Unfortunately after a failure of this magnitude I think a spell in the message board wilderness is an inevitability.
I would suggest no more posts until our third season in the Premiership. By then we will be pushing for the Champions League and this whole sorry episode may have been forgotten.
