I'm out at the moment, so can't see the live scores. Who are they playing?

Palace are cruising to a win thanks to an early Brighton red card but Millwall are being held by Charlton at the moment.

Some nice reaults complimented our leage position today. Crystal, Hull and Leicester losing would of made it even better, but some other rivals fell further behind, including Birmingham taking borough's scalp. Basically, that means a win tomorrow will put us five points clear of third place! Bristol City 4-0 down at the moment... 833362651

We haven't really managed a long unbeaten run like a few other teams have managed this year. We are beginning to build a decent run now and it would be great if we could keep it going through December. There are some really tough games looming towards the end of the month though and if the run is still going into January and we are sitting in the top 2 going into the January transfer window then i will be extremely hopeful indeed for our chances this season.

Indeed, a 6 or 7 point lead over third place would be great stuff leading into our tricky end of the year/start of next. I think it may be my 'typical city' negative attitude talking, but I feel we need a nice cushion in place ready to catch is if we start falling hard against the other big names.

A cushion over the chasing pack is always good to have but i am looking at the average points per game. I think maybe only once or twice has a side averaged 2 point a game over a season in the Championship and not got an automatic spot. It is the average i keep on hoping we can achieve and maintain but surpassing it leaves room for the little blips.

50 points from 23 games for example allows a couple of defeats on the spin while still maintaing the average. Slipping behind the average however requires a very consistent run to make up the ground again. I doubt if we will get 12 points from the next 4 games to hit 50 at the half way mark but i will be delighted if we get 8 and keep that 2 points a game average going regardless of other teams results.

I think you are right red - we are bound to have a little wobble at some point!

Not to bring up the league vs cup argument again but im hoping for a short FA cup campaign. ( Potential mare - not sure if we are still in the running)
