Not had a chance to work on my blog of late due to uni work, but this is my (brief) view on the current hot-topic - racism in football

interesting read especially this
Forget fining a country. Forget banning supporters. More needs to be done to kick racism out of football for good, and the only way that can be achieved is by strongly punishing players and nations in a way that will truly send across the message that there is no room for racism in football.
i think uefa/fifa whoever should ban the guilty countrys from entering competitions - the ban fines of 15k 16.5k is silly thats pittance to a nation, should be millions or subsequently a bigger fine than a few grand, The players should be automatically be given to the police to deal with never mind awaiting what the local fa says,
Just my thought alone - Rio & Anton are correct to make stand so to speak - but not wearing the kick racism vests is just adding fuel to the fire and IMO are just dragging this all out

splendid article young man!
Yes, yes and yes. Agree with everything you say and given the amount of money flowing through the sport, I never understood why fines were used to discipline either nations or players.
