seems as though whitts is back to how he was when we first signed him - maybe 20 odd goals this season?

Sweet! Anyone seen Whitts disallowed goal?
I wouldn't be surprised if he hits around 20 this season based on current form - 5 goals in 6 games.
As long as the opposition keep on giving away freekicks within 30 feet meters of the goal, we are sorted.

Top drawer... I'm utterly cream crackered and now have wear elasticated trousers..... but I think I enjoy cruising more than George Michael and Ron Davies combined

Saw the goals earlier on SSN. Quality really does find time and space, Mr Whittingham clearly is QUALITY. Noone's goal wasn't too shabby either.
Noone caused havoc last night. He made not be a complete player yet but every time he got the ball you could sense something was going to happen. His pace and ability to draw defenders created space for others. He was a stand out player for me in a solid team performance (three of the back four worth a shout too, Super Kev looked a bit ropey at times, for me).
Smith on the other flank worked hard all night. Different type of player to Noone but still confident with the ball at his feet. He's surely due a goal soon too.

This should link you to Sky's highlights that include Whitts disallowed goal as well.

Wow... thanks Malaise a typical but exceptionally brilliant Whitt's Rocket... As it happens it didn't influence the end 3 point result but if Aron's shirt pulling had affected the outcome I think we'd have all been miffed

i dont think ive ever been excited at the start of the season as i have been this year... the quality we have is unbelieveable... we can have goals being angle.. & once bellamy gets his "problems" sorted & maynards back after injury i have no reason that we cant stay top after xmas (last season we was 1 point of top??! at xmas - or was it 2nd?) then it all went tits up...
& a question for ppl.. do u think malky will actually spend/loan in jan transfer window?

Maybe a bit of defensive cover is required. Problem is, clubs who want to sent out their players on loan, expect them to be playing regularly - which of course won't happen here.Vinnie Tans Tache wrote:i dont think ive ever been excited at the start of the season as i have been this year... the quality we have is unbelieveable... we can have goals being angle.. & once bellamy gets his "problems" sorted & maynards back after injury i have no reason that we cant stay top after xmas (last season we was 1 point of top??! at xmas - or was it 2nd?) then it all went tits up...

Perhaps we are better off having a rummage through league 1 for a young starlet who understands that he will have to work hard and put pressure on for a staring place.
