My mate just sent me this after me arguing that Ramsey would be as good as Joe Allen had Ramsey not got his leg obliterated.

Liverpool fans already creaming their knickers over him. Okay he is a class player who could easily slot into any La Liga team with his passing credentials but surely he needs to be consistent first...
Joe Allen is a robot, oh well, thats my morning laugh done.

He's a good player. But Arsenal bagged Ramsey for £5million and if it wasn't for the loss of confidence following Shawcross basically taking a crowbar to his legs, he would be one of the top players in the Premiership. Allen cost five times that so they need to give it a bit more time!

Sorry, I meant three times Ramsay's fee! I'm sure Allen didn't cost £25 million...

Does anyone know why the arsenal fans where booing Ramsey when he can on yesterday.

They have picked up on his dip in form and boo him because his performances aren't as good as they were prior to the injury. That's what I've been told anyway. Pretty shallow it's got to be said

They need to be careful or there will be another good player looking for the exit door.

I know we have loads of midfielders but I'd be happy to see him back!

You'll always have fickle fans, in all levels of football but especially the premiership where plastic fans are rife. A good player has a few bad games and he's booed by his own fans every match, when they should be getting behind him to get him back on the horse.
Happens in our own club too so we can't say anything. Certain members of CCMB and AAMB, and to be honest our own board too, have laid into Whittingham after the last game. You win player of the championship but have a bad game and suddenly you're useless and always have been, it's a shame.
Back on topic though with Allen. I'm sceptical of him still. He was the master of the back pass/ sideways pass at Swansea and that was the main reason his pass stats were so good. Has he really changed that much at Liverpool, especially working under the same manager that encouraged him to do that in the first place?

To be fair yesterday he was world class and often disguised a pass to move into more attacking areas. Being around better players seems to have done good for him but he just needs to be consistent.

He's good, but check out this quote:
"I said he was a similar player to Pirlo and Xavi and was laughed at in another thread.
The lad could quite easily play in Barcelona's first choice midfield - he is that accomplished a player"
Steady on la.

I'm pretty sure it was the Stoke fans booing him.
