Must say having moved over from the other MB loving the positive interaction, wit and banter on this one, well done Rhys.

So, not wanting to cause too many arguments but - Who was your favourite player you've watched at City?

Probably a bit nostalgic this but I'd have to go for Carl Dale (c 91-98) .... any advance on Dale?

Yeh this is a great forum, ok not as big as the others, but the quality is far superior.

As for your question, Carl Dale is a great shout. Im 28 now so when I first started supporting the City Dale was a big hero. Jason Fowler was a great flair player too in the lower divisions and of course Phil Stant when he came.

Scott Young will always be one of my favourite City players, as will Earnie for that first spell.

Dale was quality ran and ran and was a quality finisher to boot. I'm sure he'd have played a lot higher if it wasn't for injury.
I used to love watching Blake as well (not Darcy you understand) one of the most gifted players I've seen in a city shirt.
Of more recent times I'd have to say Bothroyd. A wasted talent imo who showed many moments of sheer brilliance. If Bothroyd had Dales attitude he would have been a top 4 player with 100 England caps nqat.

Fowler and Young are great shouts too, especially Young, that was my teenage years and we all know we had fun in those days!! .... Although we were playing our football down in the dungeon we had some great away days....

Nathan Blake also comes to mind and I'll never forget as 5 year old playing football with Dave Bennett (yes the bloke who crossed the ball to sink Liverpool in the 86 cup final) when my dad spotted him outside ninian hanging around he was such a nice fella he signed my scarf and let me have a kick about with him for about 15mins

I wish I could have seen Clark and Toshack play for city I was 15 years too late. And who can forget the iconic image of Clark scoring against Real Madrid!

They were fantastic together. Both big centre forwards if one didn't get the ball the other would. The only partenership that came close were Thorne and Earnshaw but they were little and large as opposed to large and large.

You're just a youth!

Defender - Danny Malloy.
Midfield - Willie Anderson (he was a winger but he;d play wide left these days)
Attacker - Derek Tapscott

Alan Curtis stood out among the late 80s mediocrity.
What a goal this was.....
