Quiet on here so I thought I'd fill a space with some (mostly ex) City player activity from last night.
There was quite a lot of it with the high spot being Joe Ralls goal with a super shot from outside the area against Leicester. Think he should be back in our squad next season. Nicky Maynard came off the bench for Wigan with ten minutes to go in the same match but was described by a reporter friend who covered the match as 'tubby'! Sadly, it looks as if he is going backwards career wise.
Blackburn drew 3-3 at Watford thanks partly to goals from Craig Conway (sob) and a fantastic header from Rudy Gestede.
Joe Mason was a starter for Bolton although he was subbed just after the hour mark as he was on Saturday but coming on for Blackpool in that game was none other than Robbie Earnshaw.
Adeji Oshilaja was an unused sub for Sheffield Wednesday whilst Ben Nugent was yellow carded in Posh's 3-1 defeat at PNE. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas scored another couple of crackers for Bristol City and seems to be settling down and showing some real quality. Perhaps he's found his level at last. In the same division, Haris Vuckic (remember him) scored in Rotherham's 3-0 win over Brentford (I thought he looked a good prospect in his short time with us) and John Brayford played the whole of Sheffield United's 2-0 win over Crawley.
In League Two, making his second appearance in the space of a few days for Newport was Darcy Blake who has been given a contract to the end of the season. Always thought he was a good player but seemed to have problems off the pitch.
North of the border, last night's televised game saw Filip Kiss for Ross County in opposition to Willo Flood of Aberdeen whilst St Johnstone's winner at St Mirren was scored by Steve Maclean - something he never did for us.
Think that's just about everyone of note!

Always good to know how things are going for the players now elsewhere. I enjoy doing these round-ups myself.
Deserving of some flair for the effort........

I would guess that interest in the official site will have waned in what has been a poor season. Obviously casting around for something more positive to say........

Bit of additional info......
In the St Mirren v St Johnstone match CS mentioned, ex-City Steven Thompson was yellow carded and on the losing side. He's also St Mirren captain these days.
John Parkin was an unused sub as Fleetwood beat Brizzle Rovers 3 - 1.

I think you are right TDA - a poor season has definitely led to lower engagement all-round it seems
