You can’t stop a player being called up, at least theoretically. What Fergie used to do was tell Giggs to claim he had an injury

That won't happen here. VT may have it in for Malky, but he is not so petty as to try to block a player's career.

Looking at their squad, I believe Paterson is their joint-top scorer (alongside Griffiths)
