Big 6 want more money, to make PL less competitive.

I saw this on the news the news yesterday - incredible that it's being asked and incredible that the thought is being entertained by the Premier League! I'd like to think they'd be defending the integrity of the league and trying to maintain the competitiveness (which is a huge selling point of the PL and sets it apart from the other nations top divisions). There is enough disparity in that division as it is without creating more and - whisper it - Leicester City, Leeds and Blackburn have won more Premier League titles than Spurs ever have.

It kinda makes me wish all those clubs have a major economic breakdown just to burst their bubble.

Leicester, Leeds and Blackburn have won more titles than Spurs? That has really shocked me. Although in many ways I don't mind Spurs as they try and manage the club responsibly with a 'reasonable'* wage limit when compared to Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and probably a few other clubs who spend outrageous sums.

*reasonable by top flight football standards... cash

I haven't been pedantic for a while BUT.....

Leeds won the last top-flight title, not the Prem.

You are absolutely right to be on this occasion. Serves me right for not double checking and just assuming my memory was correct.

Self inflicted yellow card for me

Spurs were in the wilderness for many years, caught between a rock and a hard place so far as the PL was concerned. It was only the sale of Bale that loosened the purse strings. They wasted that cash, but entered the big time at that point.
