Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas is training with Cardiff City and could become the Bluebirds' third summer signing.
Tamas, 31, is currently a free agent and has made 65 appearances for his country but is without a club after leaving Romanian side Steaua Bucharest.
Now, he could be set to sign on in the Welsh capital as Bluebirds boss Russell Slade looks to add to his defensive options.
Slade already has plenty of players to choose from at centre back with Sean Morrison and Matt Connolly starting the season and Bruno Manga and Ben Turner still to return from injury.

Slades confirmed he was training with us yesterday but was not invited back today. Think that kills the rumour there.

What I hope it means - Slade doesn't think Morrison is good enough and is also concerned that Turner isn't the best replacement either.
What it probably means - He thinks Morrison is the best defender the world has ever seen, Bruno Manga should be ashamed to share the same dressing room and needs to be replaced immediately.

File this under the 'mare category'
Spades inpressed by his ability to play any role in the back four. Still kind of screams utility player to me but I'd love to be proven wrong again. Does it put Connolly even further down the pecking order?
EDIT: Spade is an AMAZING nickname, so it stays.

So Slade lets Oshilaja who can play along back fourgo out on loan, brings in Tamas, a troublemaking hard drinker to fill a position that was not needed to be filled.
The mind boggles.
Oh and it's no good having an academy/development side with Humpty Dumpty in charge.

I heard from somebody else that he's had problems with the bottle - and I agree about Oshilaja. Let's not forget he booted Yorwerth out as well and Mick Mccarthy immediately gave him a 2 year contract.

According to Wikipedia, he had a contract terminated with Romanian club CFR Cluj in 2013 after only a week because of 'incidents in a local pub'. His most recent contract was January of this year with Staaua Bucuresti, but again has his contract cancelled but managed to last two months. Dismissal was due to repeated failure to turn up to training because he was out drinking with friends.

Cardiff City have signed Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas on a one-year deal.
The former Watford and West Brom man, 31, has made 65 appearances for his country and had a brief trial stint with the Bluebirds last week.
And despite boss Russell Slade seemingly ruling out a move at his press conference last Friday, Tamas has now penned a deal in the Welsh capital until the end of the season with the option of a further year.
Tamas confirmed his move by posting a picture of him in a Cardiff shirt on Instagram and told the club's website: “I wanted to return to English football and out of a few offers, decided that Cardiff City was the club I wanted to come to.
“I’ve met up with the manager and a few of the boys who I remember playing against during my time in the UK.
“I’m looking forward to training with the boys and getting out there.”
