Not the end of the world with connolly back in favour

It does feel like he could be one of the more marginalised players this season. He is supposed to be quite versatile having spent a fair bit of time playing left back before joining us and and starting off this season for us as CB.

Would prefer to see him stick around but, as you say, not the biggest loss under the circumstances if he did leave.

Barnum-Bob looked like a very competent replacement at right back if he does leave. Saying that, I'd rather he stayed.

Alarm bells were ringing with him after not long last season, another fullback that thought he was a winger and was too slow to get back sometimes. I wouldn't mind if he left, Brayford is better and has demonstrated that his legs can easily last a full season complete with a cup run. In the case of an injury Connolly could cover, but I'd rather recall McNaughton.

Connolly would be pretty far down the list as cover at RB. Fabio can switch to what is his natural side and Barnum-Bobb looks like another Declan John in waiting.

KTC move supposedly confirmed by St Etienne in last 30 minutes. Can't see them paying much for him, so maybe a compassionate move in view of the family death.

I liked him as a player, but we are into another era.

Season long loan deal, option to buy many sources reporting.
