Just over 48 hours to kick-off, so I think it time to get this forum back to business, so to speak.  City have been made clear favourites by many to walk off with the Championship again, but Blackburn are nobody's fools these days.  Twelve games unbeaten at the end of last season and with Conway and Rudy there, they have got form and players with a point to prove.

My predicted line up, assuming Hudson & Dikgacoi not recovering from injury in time.

Marshall

Brayford  Connolly  KTC  Fabio

Daelhi  Gunnarsson  Whitts  Burgstaller

Maynard  Le Fondre

Subs  Moore, John, Oshilaja, Kimbo, Eikrem, Guerra, Macheda if fit, or Jones

City to score goals for fun this year........... 3 - 2 win here with Jordan Rhodes highlighting the need to get more quality at the back.

I genuinely don't know where to start when it comes to predicting the forwards, but the certainties elsewhere: Marshall, Brayford, Connolly, Hudson (he's now declared himself fit), Fabio; Whitts, Daelhi...

Predicted scoreline: 2-2. (Whitts to score a pen for good measure)

As soon as I seen this was the first game I thought 3-2 or 4-3 to Cardiff. So get all your money on 0-0

Bit of research has revealed that Conway finished with the highest number of assists last season! :s

Look out!

For me, I think we are looking at 2-2 draw - maybe 1-2.

Not feeling over confident with our back line.

Starting XII (only joking  **Official Pre-Match Thread - Blackburn v City** 1525230823 )

Marshall

Brayford Hudson Connolly Fabio

Mats D, Gunnarson, Whitts, Burgstaller

Lefondre Macheda

Look to draw away matches trusting we can tear teams apart in the return fixture. We have a s**tload of pace all over the pitch though, so a smash and grab win is definetely on cards. Our defence also has to stare down in my opinion the best striker in the league though, so in crossing my legs just in case **Official Pre-Match Thread - Blackburn v City** 692773407

Shame I'm going to miss the game due to a social engagement Sad

On the plus side, I have bought a sky sports day pass for 9.99 and have it on record to watch when I get in later  **Official Pre-Match Thread - Blackburn v City** 3210875682

There is a football league 13/14 preview show on sky sports 1 at the moment - very enjoyable.

Good chance to see our rivals...and I forget that there are some very good teams and players in this league  Shocked

Watched it last night and I was surprised by just how important Le Fondre was to Reading last season - he'll get a bagful over the next nine months.

Incidentally, Le Fondre starts alongside Jones and Maynard tonight in what looks to be a 4-3-3 formation.

Disgusting piece of play from Whitts to level it up. Just get rid of it. Some fantastic play from us thus far so feels sickening to go into half time level thanks to one person.
