I want to thank everyone for their, messages and for all the respect shown across all the boards.
My daughter as they all are, was a very special girl, she was first diagnosed with bone cancer when she was 16 and her promising career in athletics was brought to an abrupt end when she had her right hip joint and ten inches of her femur removed. She fought back and a few years later she was given the all clear.
Sadly a few years later it reappeared on her lung, so more chemo and upsetting treatment and battles, and it looked as if she had beaten it again, but it came back with a vengeance and the last year has been horrific, but she’s been so brave and never complained, she has raised thousands for cancer charities right up to the end. Always doing what she could to help others.
Her passing came suddenly in the end and she was taken in to hospital complaining of stomach pains, a scan showed a twisted colon which needed urgent surgery before it burst, the surgery was successful, but during recovery things took a turn for the worse and we lost her at five past twelve this morning, most of the family were with her including her long time boyfriend Gary who is like a son to us.
We are all hurting and it really is like looking in at something from outside and if my past is anything to go by, I will get through this now, but come down with a bump a bit later, but only to be expected.
I apologise to anyone who I have argued with or offended over recent weeks, I have lost my mum this year and was losing my daughter, but also felt like I was losing my football club, my views are still the same and I respect others views as well.
Feel free to debate or argue with me, I am still the gobby opinionated bloke I always have been, and no one needs to tip toe around me, I give as good as i get, but thanks for the respect today, it really has meant the world to me and those close to me.

All the best Gwyn for what must be a terrible time. I hope you can find some strength to see you through and no matter what colour they want, City fans will always try to support each other.

I'm heartbroken for you and your family. This is a very dignified and touching update. We wish you all the strength you need to get you through this terrible, terrible time in your life.
God bless

Incredibly dignified considering the circumstances. You're going through what is my greatest fear for my own daughter. I wouldn't want to even imagine what it must be like for you right now Gwyn, you're in my family's thoughts mate, we really feel for you.

Gwyn thank you for posting this. This must be a horrendous time for you and your family and if there is anything this forum can do just let us know! I have two young children and live with the fear of something happening to them everyday.
My heart goes out to you. All the best.

Being able to respond on here during this time shows strength runs in your families blood and it was probably that strength that led to your daughter not complaining and doing the best she could to help others during such a difficult time. Sorry to hear of your losses Gwyn and regardless of the views on football you know the vast majority of people are here for you and will support you and your family if needed.
I don't have children as I'm only young myself so it'd be foolish of me to say I properly understand what you are going through. My heart and thoughts are with your family.

Gwyn you have all our deepest sympathy and respect for the courage both you and your lovely girl have shown and are still showing. I can only begin to guess at how we could possibly cope with similar circumstances and compared to the way in which and your family i am sure that my response would be weak to say the least. You are an inspiration Sir and you have all our love and very best wishes at this difficult time.
