In principal, I agree.
I think OGS might turn out to be a good'un if given time to molde (see what I did there?? ) his own team. I'd like to see him stay on for next season.
Long term strategies tend to pay dividends. Short termism and chopping changing managers doesn't.

Agree with this, however the damage was done last summer with all that money wasted and over paid on players who were not going to be good enough. Players should have been brought in with the necessary premier league experience who could keep us in this league.
That team today looked resigned to going down, apart from Bellamy there was no fight in them.

This was an abject display, on a par with what happened against Southampton. It's not looking good..............

Trouble was too many players today needn't have bothered to lace up their boots.
Ole obviously rotating some players because of Tuesdays game but this was not the game to do it. He needs to pick his best starting 11 for every game, if we have any hope of surviving. Problem now is even our relegation rivals are thinking we are there for the taking.

What happened today was something Malky was criticised for. We had a good half with the best chances, then an individual screw up occurs and we go one down. But instead of turning the screw and piling pressure on, we gave up. No passion, no desire, no leadership. Campbell, Zaha, Bellamy and John can keep their shirts and move on. Every other player on that pitch deserves to walk home in shame.

This was my thoughts after the game. Just feel the OGS needs to be given time, I think Cardiff will go down though. Can't see how they will survive

OGS is good enough. Players like Turner aren't. Cyncoedslumdog has a friend who works in sport and in the summer he said to Slumdog Snr that if we don't score goals we won't stay up. As it turned out Malky spent a lot of money on defensive players and a striker 'for the future' and we have ended up in 19th place. The writing was always on the wall.

OGS bought very poorly in the January window. You only need to look at crystal palace and the quality players they brought in to dismiss the 'it's hard to buy in January' b**locks. We got a defender that even relegated QPR didn't want back, a few Norwegians that are going to sit the bench all season, a target man severely lacking in match fitness (because that's sensible in January) and the only gem was Zaha.

Well what target men were available at a price we could afford? Only Jones. We had hoped to sign Ramis or another defender (name unknown) but couldn't and had to go for our third choice, Danns, so late in the day that he had gone elsewhere and lets not kid ourselves Ince had no intention of joining us.
He has openly said the Norwegians aren't there to keep us up. Don't think of them like that because that's ridiculous. They are in addition to whatever players we could sign in January.

If OGS can handle the pressure and get the team performing at a reasonable standard, then, even if we are relegated, I think the future will be bright.
Yes, we will lose players, but the rest of the squad will be a good enough nucleus to get us back up, particularly as OGS will always be able to attract players, in a way that Malky couldn't.

If you can't get a target man, you don't play a target man set up. You play what's best for your current squad and what's available in the window. There were plenty of quality players on the move, Holtby a great example. Yet we didn't bother with any of then...
