Rumours About Whitts Going To Villa?

I've just been informed that there's a lot of rumours going about that Whitts might be 'going home' to Villa. Someone please talk me down off this ledge.

My Villa mate said he never hacked it when he was there before, and the crowd would get on his back. There were two Peter Whittingham's, and usually the introverted rubbish one turned up.

So, I'm surprised he'd want to go back there.

Just adds fuel to the fire...

But if the lad wants to leave - he has given us a great 4 and half years - he's 27 and deserves a shot at the top whilst he still young.

I'd be surprised if he wants to go and warm a bench at villa though - it'll be like becoming a kid again by going home.

Not sure I agree that it's the best move for him but IF he goes, he goes with my blessing.

I think it could be a blessing in disguise. Yes hes a quality player but hes also relied on far too Mutch . I think without him there other players will take a stand and try to prove themselves.

I think if we can get Bellamy back using some of the money and a quality striker there is an instant improvement in the team. If we could get £4-5m for Whittingham which I think is fair given he is 10 times the player Downing is and they charged LFC £20m for him, then we could sign Bellamy £2m with £2-3m to spare to add to our total to bring in a playmaker and a striker to play alongside Mason next year.

Surely we can just sellotape Whitts flat door shut. He seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't put up a great deal of fuss if he was locked in his flat.

This is just wrong. We need to build the team around Whittingham. I want to see him play alongside Bellamy.
