What does everyone think?

On the one hand, you would like to think no - he's just started the campaign and has to personally prove his managerial credentials first at this level.

On the other hand, Sunderland are a well established PL side with a decent squad and with a little bit of money to spend.

Anther thing that may put malky of is the european-esque management system, with a director of football and lead coach setup.

I'm not sure about 'well established', to be honest from what I've seen thus far I'd say the weakest side in the league this season.

Definite back step in my opinion, wouldn't think about it for a second.

They look a bit of a shambles to me.
Still a large Italian contingent on the coaching staff and barely average players brought in by de Canio with no prospect of changing things until January.
They must have somebody lined up same as last time - Italian speaking Di Matteo?

Di Matteo makes more sense to be fair

Well established in that they have played in the PL consistently now for the last number of years.

The squad isn't that bad - just had a crap manager

I doubt it. Malky has spent a lot of time and energy building his team and the club and has had a lot of support and money from his chairman. I'm guessing it will take a big club to prise him away and I doubt Sunderland are big enough. Also doubt Sunderland would consider him, think he needs to prove he can be successful with us in the Premier League first.

Right now, I wouldn't lose any sleep if he did leave. It's up to him to prove me wrong now over the next few games............Popcorn
