Four major observations -
- In close up we actually were lucky to not concede a penalty, Medel's sliding tackle on Baines should of been given every day of the week
- I genuinely believe Fellaini should be facing a ban. Not only did he elbow Campbell in the face which should of been a red card, but he elbowed him again, in the face, AFTER the referee had blew the whistle. Players have been banned for much less.
- Kim and Bellamy were also quite lucky to not be sent off in my opinion. Kim may be a bit safer as I genuinely believe he didn't see Pienaar coming, but his elbow was aggressively high. Bellamy on Baines in the opening exchanges was a straight elbow. He knew he was there, and he meant it
- I see Redmond shone for Norwich, spinning past multiple defenders with ease and scoring a quality goal. Why didnt we come in for him again Malky?

(Must distract Red for another couple of minutes)
Yes Redmond looked great. Just the kind of player i would have loved to have seen added to the squad and available cheaply too

Apart from the Kim/Bellamy elbows - the Kim one was accidental and I thought Bellamy was just trying to get in front of Baines (it looked worse because they are both short-arses).
How much was Redmond? £2 million-ish? Money well spent I reckon.

Whether he was it he wasnt, Medel missed the ball by half a yard and caught Baines ankle, straight penalty.davewebber65 wrote:1. baines was looking for the penalty and

Besides, ill run to Baines defence and point out he has to have some credit for not making any fuss. He got straight up and carried on, Bale would still be rolling around on the floor now.
